Arts Classes - Tuesday, March 31st

Chorus

Now that you have refreshed our memory of harmony and melody and all it contains. Think about the many songs we’ve sung in class, all containing beautiful harmonies. Watch this short video about harmony. Choose a starting pitch, C – E – G identified in the video and build the melody of your short tune around that pitch.

Grade 7 you will choose a starting pitch and create your own melody around that note, remembering not too stray too far from where you started. Once you’ve secured your main melody, you will then choose the pitch you will create your harmony around.

Note: record yourself in your phone as you figure out what melody you like the best. This will allow you to play back your work to enhance and reference when creating your harmony.
