BACK TO ELISA – WRITE YOUR NOTES AND VOCABULARY INTO YOUR NOTEBOOK.

What ‘s going on with Elisa? Could it be something happening in her cells? Today, you will learn more about the molecules that cells need to function in a healthy body.  Cells are everywhere in your body and make up most of your living tissue-for example, your heart, lungs, skin and muscles are all made of different types of cells.  When your cells don’t get the molecules they need, you can feel sick and tired, as Elisa does.  Today, you will practice with new vocabulary.  Later , you will use the vocabulary to evaluate possible claims.

Arts Classes - Tuesday, March 31st

Chorus

Now that you have refreshed our memory of harmony and melody and all it contains. Think about the many songs we’ve sung in class, all containing beautiful harmonies. Watch this short video about harmony. Choose a starting pitch, C – E – G identified in the video and build the melody of your short tune around that pitch.

Grade 7 you will choose a starting pitch and create your own melody around that note, remembering not too stray too far from where you started. Once you’ve secured your main melody, you will then choose the pitch you will create your harmony around.

Note: record yourself in your phone as you figure out what melody you like the best. This will allow you to play back your work to enhance and reference when creating your harmony.

ZOOM MEETING:
If you have any questions about this week’s assignment, you may reach me through zoom Tomorrow, Wednesday, April 1st between 1:00 PM and 2:20 PM.

GIVING SHOUT OUTS TO ... MAXINE!, JUDE!, TATYANA!, YARI!, KURMANI!, ROOD-VENSKY!, TERRELL!, THIERNO!  for joining our session yesterday and for knowing that your education is important even in our ever changing world.  EXCELLENT!!!

There nothing like a great conversation... So let the chat begin.

When you join our discussion today, make sure you are prepared to contribute to the conversation.   You must have your two questions from last night's HW (RLHW#3) related to Iqbal chapter 10 along with their answers. Let's Chat About It!

Key to note about open ended questions:

Superior readers must be able to question and discuss what they have read to do so they must:

  • Ask open ended questions which builds critical thinking skills and leads to keep discussions going.
    • Start with... What (explains), Why (reason/purpose), How (applies understanding)

  • Avoid Closed ended questions; ONE WORD ANSWERS.
    • When was/will…?, Did..? or Is there…?
    • Yes/No and one word answers end a discussion

Make sure to login to PupilPath for your weekend HW assignment.
