Good morning 706,707 Today is lightsail Reading day. I am now trained to track your reading progress in a more detailed manner. Some of you are taking out books and not completing them. Some of you are reading below your Lexile level because the test is easy to pass. At the end of the day this will work against you. The goal is to grow in your reading whether you are on grade level or not. For those of you who are reading on a high level you must be consistent in your reading in order not to fall behind.
I have already received project titles from some of you . I will post one more option on Monday. By Thursday of next week I need to know which final project you choose to do. It will count as 50% of your grade. We are in the home-stretch only a few days left. This is your last push make it a good one. Have a great weekend.

Greetings all!
Your Task Due June 4, 2020 :
Write an essay comparing and contrasting the present Corona Virus pandemic with another pandemic from the previously assigned videos.
In your essay (at least 5 paragraphs including an introduction, 3 body paragraphs, and a conclusion) you must discuss the events of both pandemics and how the other pandemic related/relate to our country today. You must also describe solutions to problems that the United States have encountered during the years that the other outbreaks took place. You need to present clear ideas that America can use as solutions to the Corona Virus. Your essay should also include the issues of morality, wealth, and power and how these issues play a role in this pandemic in regards to our current society.
Remember that paragraphs are 5-7 complete sentences, use clips from the videos to support your claims. You should use your notes from your previous assignments and any additional resources that you deem applicable to this assignment to help write the essay.
Also remember to complete and submit any assignment(s) that you are missing.
